one year

This is my Daddy.
On December 15, 2010 he followed in his father's footsteps and went up to Heaven.  There isn't a day that doesn't go by when I don't miss him.  I am so incredibly grateful for the Gospel and the knowledge of eternal families.  I know that I will see him again and in the meantime I like to say that he's Moroni's mission companion.  (or Joseph Smith's, or President Hinckley's, or his Dad's)

Love you Daddy!

Thanksgiving!

For Thanksgiving we went to Idaho Falls with Brandon's family.  It was lots of fun.  I made a chocolate cream pie for the first time... I'm going to keep practicing.  After Thanksgiving we went shopping... for TWELVE hours!!! The upside? We got almost all of our Christmas shopping done.  The downside? There are a MILLION people EVERYWHERE!! For those of you who like to wake up early and fight a million people, please tell me how you can enjoy that.  Anyway, here are some pictures :)
This is the pie table... yeah, a lot of pies
This is my pie... I forgot to take a picture before we ate it.
Brandon's family.  We missed Brian and Nicole but we'll see them at Christmas.  Also I promise Wade was there he was just socializing.

This was at the end of the day... We were extremely tired. Also we loved these hats.

It's Beginning To Look a lot Like Christmas

I was going to be so good and not put up Christmas decorations until next weekend because I love Thanksgiving and I think we need to give it a little attention but... we don't have any Thanksgiving decorations and I didn't want to do homework so Brandon and I set up our tree today and started a little decorating.  It's not everything but it's a start :)

This is our door wreath :)
Our tree! And our Believe sign.  If you notice we only have to ornaments besides our very sparkly star.  That's because we've decided that each year we will put one a new ornament each. (Next year we'll have four) Then when we have kids they will get a new ornament every year as well)
 Our ornaments :)
Close up of our ornaments.  Think they fit our personalities?

We LOVE the DI

Deseret Industries is probably the best shopping in the world for poor, married, college students.  We have gotten a TV stand, a nightstand, a entry way table, and a dresser for less than 50 bucks.  We have also been looking and looking for a coffee table, we've been using my little brother's table that he made in high school but it's not very big and we have to get it back.  Well today I was in the mood to do a little DI browsing and we hit the jack pot! Not only did we find a coffee table we also found two shelves to put on our wall!  I'm so excited, they need a little bit of a makeover but that just makes it more fun right?

Grand Total? 12 Dollars.  Yeah we feel pretty good about it.  We're going to paint them and once we do I'll post those pictures.  Any ideas on what colors?

Welcome to Us

Welcome to our new blog! I decided that I wanted to start a blog that really was ours.  (I know that sounds cheesy but what can you do?) So this is it.  I'm really going to put forth an effort to blog at least once a week.... we'll see how that works.

Here's a little about us.  We were married December 18, 2010 in the Ogden, UT Temple.  Now we're going to school at BYU-I in Rexburg, ID.  I am studying Theatre and Speech Education and Brandon is studying Mechanical Engineering.  I'll be done April 2013 and Brandon will be done December 2013.  It can't come soon enough! Anyway, here are some pictures that explain us better :)
I like shoes a little bit, I have... many pairs :)
We LOVE fourwheeling! It's one of our favorite things to do together.
Our niece Ashlynn gave us princess stickers during General Conference.
                                                          Um... we like pixi sticks.
Brandon really loves pickles.  This is a card his sister gave him for his birthday.  Thanks Camille :)
